So some of you guys may know that i have a small obsession with makeup...
its the one really girlie thing about me
now with youtube, this obsession is just getting worse and worse haha
all these makeup tutorials and reviews are really making me want to get more makeup...
i just recently discovered E.L.F (Eyeslipsface.com)
this site is amazing...most of the makeup is only $1.00
they also always have all these ridiculous coupons and specials where you get like 50-75% of your entire purchases...
and for the price the quality is actually pretty good
i got some makeup brushes and blushes....
the only downfall is that it takes FOREVER to get...
Alot of girls splurge on MAC products...
i don't really understand this...since these products are SO pigmented..especially for Asian people...
not to mention the fact that they are also ridiculously over priced...
Looking back when i first started wearing makeup..i had no idea what i was doing.
Just thinking about it makes me cringe with embarrassment...
Being Korean, my mom never really taught me how to wear makeup... she was really against it...
she had ever right to be, i was to young to wear makeup..i should of waited until college...
the funny thing is...
the older i got, the less makeup i would wear...
looking back at my pictures i laugh because my face always looks like a geisha getting ready to work or something...
after moving to Chicago i finally decided to stop and really learn how to wear makeup.
so i started reading and testing out a bunch of product and ways to apply makeup.
One of the most important things I've learned is that you should never apply makeup with your fingers...
this is something i am very guilty of...
for the first time this year at the age of 22 i started to use foundation brushes...and wow...its amazing the results i get.
blending is so much easier and the results are more natural...
little changes like these really make a huge difference in the end
sigh, if only i knew these things back then.....
lately Ive been really curious about Bare minerals
back in the day when i when this product FIRST came out i bought one of their foundations.
the results were amazing, it looked like i wasn't really wearing any makeup...
the only downfall was that there were too many steps for application...
i didn't know this at the time so i just bought the one base foundation...
so basically after an hour my face would get really greasy and the makeup would get really shiny and come off whenever i touched my face...
8 years later...i realize this was the result of not following the steps....
one of my really good friends wears bare minerals make up and she always looks so natural and flawless...
so I'm thinking about trying it out..
they are currently having this special at ulta where you can get the started kit for $15 dollars...
maybe ill go and try this out...
