My teacher was getting fustrated with the classes lack of passion for our projects...
well...i think we all had passion...the problem was we didnt have time to really embrace it i guess...
so she made us all write this quote down...
at the time i was in a really bad mood so i just jotted it down quickly and didnt think much of it...
but later i went home and took out my sketchbook to read over the notes i took during my critic..
i read this quote again and it really touched my heart.
after reading this quote i made this picture....
also, i realized why i was doing so horribly on all my previous film prints...
i looked at my ISO setting and realized i was rating my 400 speed film which resulted in really long shutter speeds and a severe case of reciprocity failure and under exposed negatives...
i know...sounds bad right?
but funny thing is...i felt SO HAPPY when I came to this realization...
for 12 weeks now I thought I just lost my mojo...I thought maybe I was just losing everything...all my skills and really just becoming a really bad photographer...
but now i see that it was this one stupid little mistake...
so now im happy...im happy because now i know that it wasnt ME at all...but just a stupid small mistake that I now can learn from...
